SCOPE
When Direct Line Group decided to open a new office in Bristol, the focus was to excite and engage their employees, reflecting their modern way of working. DLG wanted to create an environment that empowered people to live and work at their best. Space Group were appointed to work on their coffee offer, with their ethos in mind.
OVERVIEW
Space Group pulled together our design, interiors, furniture and manufacturing teams to deliver this coffee shop project. The design and interiors team wanted to keep the interior scheme as exciting and inclusive as possible, in line with DLG’s brief and philosophy. In the back of house areas functionality is key, with our design team making sure the correct equipment was specified to support the front of house offerings. For the front of house design, our manufacturing team built the counters complete with feature frontage. Our interiors team used lighting and flooring patterns to zone walkways and seating areas, whilst creating an interior design scheme that would fit with the rest of the building. The furniture was specified with the look, feel and way of working DLG wanted to encourage. The high level seating was specified with power points to ensure connectivity, while the larger tables are the perfect place for collaborative working and informal meetings. Space Group managed the whole project, from the deign and specification, through to fit-out and mechanical and electrical services. This project started as an empty shell and within 4 weeks it was a fully functioning and relaxing environment for their employees.
